About the P3 Alpha rating model
The desert ghost (DG) is a stunning recessive pattern and color mutation. Not to be confused with the co-dominant desert morph, the DG is a highly sought after rare morph in today's hobby. Many people say they get brighter and more contrast as they get older.

Pigment (2nd): 3.51
The DG has striking contrast from bright creamy splotches along the dorsal on a dark brown background that melts into a creamy khaki color. As they develop into adulthood the khaki develops into a bone white ivory color. One of the brightest and cleanly colored morphs I've ever had the pleasure of owning, so I can see why it came in 2nd for pigment.

Pattern (13th): 2.90
Perhaps the best feature of the DG is its reduced pattern that gives it an overall clean look that everyone likes. It may not impress the best looking girl since it came in 13th place, but It came well dressed to the party!

Potential (9th): 3.46
There hasn't been one DG combo I've seen that I don't like. They make any combo brighter with cleaner patterns. For starters, the ultra bright and cream pastel desert ghost is drop dead gorgeous. The ultra clean pinstripe DG is a showstopper, as is the enchi DG. Because it's recessive, there aren't a ton of combos people know of and there's still a lot more to do!

The DG came in 5th from our list of 25 morphs. Are you invested into this project or are you waiting for the right time to get in?
